This Friday, March 30th will be forever etched into local Genny history/folklore as that time The Knight Spot hosted THE GENESEO PSYCHEDELIC MUSIC SHOWCASE!!! Thats right, this Friday, 9:00 at Geneseo's own The Knight Spot, some of the most highly tauted acts in the contemporary Psych/Indie/Dance/Weird/Really Weird Rock scene are coming to YOU!
Just which particular illustrious ensembles will be gracing our campus with their presence you ask?

The Stab the Matador?? As in, Stab the Matador, of MLB2006 The Game for X-Box and PS2 fame?? Thats right! THOSE GUYS!
This dashing quaternity of hunk-i-dudes are coming all the way from (just north of) the Big Apple to bring you all the indie that rocks. I've seen these guys more times than I can remember, and let me say this: They rock the party that rocks the party! Naw'msayin?

Death By Wallace


Here comes the boom! Thats about the only phrase my piffling little brain could muster when my friend Jeremy told me he could make it up here for this Psych Night shindig. Jeremy and James, together, Death By Wallace, have been giving self-avowed party animals a run for their money for a couple of years now. This is their third show I think. The first one they got 40 people written up by performing in an NYU dorm. Just the other week they played at Two Boots Pizza in downtown New York, where, after throwing some bottles in the air and, subsequently, inciting a near-mob scene, they were asked never to return. Not even for pizza. Story has it that James even smashed his keyboard at that gig-- the one in the picture-- and I don't think he has another one!
Until now they've more or less deliberately kept their shows to an annual basis, so this should be something very special. Not exactly sure what they've got cooking up for us here in Geneseo, but, on the phone, Jeremy did mentioned something about a PowerPoint presentation. And bloody dogs. Not a joke.

And thats not even all! There will be some very special guests and even the likes of your very own peers will be getting up on stage. Dan, Ray and myself are giving it a shot.
